Some new tracks that came upon the radar in the last week or so.
Hot off the press is a new track by German indie stalwarts, The Notwist.
The track, called “Das Spiel Ist Aus”, is off their new album, called “The Messier Objects”, and which will be released on the 27th of January.
I managed to get to see them the last time they were in Ireland, in the Roisin Dubh, in Galway. I missed them the last time around. I had intended on travelling to the UK to see them, but never got around to it.
The Notwist have been around since the 1990s, and always manage to release fresh music, while not afraid to take creative chances.

Next up is shoegaze rock n roll legends, Swervedriver. Again, not a new band, but they haven’t released an album in years, so it’s a welcome addition to 2015 so far.
Adam Franklin, Swervedriver front man has been releasing solo projects (as Toshack Highway and then as Bolts of Melody) since Swervedriver called it a day.
They got back together to gig in Australia and America a few years ago with some one off gigs in the UK.
This led to them recording Deep Wound, and now this new track called Setting Sun, both of which will be on the new album, called “I wasn’t born to lose you”, due out on March 7th.
