Why Napalm Death should soundtrack Christmas.

It’s that time of year again. Twee Christmas songs clogging the radio, clogging supermarket PA systems and most of all part of every ad campaign on tv and radio.

There appears to be a trend at the moment with softly sung female vocalists covering old pop songs. It’s a subtle or a not so subtle effect to somehow make products more appealing.

It’s usually the case that mobile phone companies and life insurance companies use twee little folk songs to make you forget about the fact that they are screwing you with their costs.

They should really have Carcass, or Deicide or Napalm Death, or some other extreme metal band to remind you that once you sign in to your contract, you’re going to get royally f**ked.

Personally, I’d go for Napalm Death. Not that there’s anything wrong with any other extreme metal band.

Napalm Death

Songs from their album “Scum” would be ideal to soundtrack your favourite mobile phone companies’ ads.

Songs from “Order of the Leech” or “Utopia Banished” would be great when you go to do your weekly shop, or go to buy overpriced jeans in your favourite department store.

Their music should be on repeat every time you walk into a crowded supermarket or shopping street. I mean this in a good way.

Here’s a link to their full “Scum” album. Enjoy.
